Seventh-day Adventist Administrators, Directors, and Executive Committee Members in the South Caribbean Conference (SCC) were officially installed during a special ceremony of consecration held at the Auditorium of the University of the Southern Caribbean on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023. Hundreds of individuals, in person and online, along with local leaders and members, witnessed the historic event as the church concluded its 44th business meeting.

New SCC administrators: Pastors Leslie Moses- President, Pastor Wayne Andrews, Executive Secretary and Dr. Yvette Peters, Treasurer, were elected by the delegates to the meeting during the business session.

The president of the Caribbean Union Conference Dr. Kern Tobias led the installation service, during which he reminded administrators of how vital they are to the entire spiritual temperature of the Conference. His call to action was clear: "Imitate Christ."

"Now is the opportune time for leaders to imitate Christ," he declared, his voice carrying the weight of years of experience and devotion. His words reverberated through the ears and hearts'of those gathered, everyone recognizing the profound truth behind the message.

"In imitating Christ," Dr. Tobias continued, "we must seek to unify our actions." His eyes scanned the audience, connecting with the ministers, pastors, and leaders who had journeyed from various corners of the Caribbean. There was a palpable sense of agreement in the air – a collective understanding that the strength of their leadership would be rooted in their ability to work together, to set aside differences, and to embrace a common purpose.

"How wonderful it is when ministers come together," he mused, drawing nods of affirmation from the crowd. The power of collaboration and shared vision was being underscored as a cornerstone of their mission ahead. With each nod, a commitment was made to foster these connections, build bridges among leaders, and amplify their efforts' impact by standing united.

His call to partner with God for success resonated on a spiritual level. "Success must come from the divine blessing of God. You can do nothing unless God gives the increase." These words were not mere platitudes; they were a reminder of humility, a recognition that actual achievement was rooted in acknowledging God.

SCC church leadership, including directors, executive committee, constitution, bylaws committee members, and the congregation, recited a consecration statement in which they committed to carry out the church's mission throughout the territory. "I accept the call of God and believe and accept that His biddings are His enabling’s. I understand that I am the first among equals and will do all in my power to build consensus," said President Leslie Moses as he led the team in commitment to the task.

In response, Pastor Moses thanked church leaders and members present for their prayers, support, and blessings. "Let me thank you, brothers and sisters. You have diligently and faithfully kept our churches open, alive, and dynamic. Thank you for your faithfulness in tithe and your financial gifts.

"As we begin to chart the course to the new quadrennium, our main focus should be the development of our own spirituality and those in our charge," said Moses. "This is a call to primitive godliness and to remain focused on God's word."

Departmental Directors received instruments of service from their Administrators. In contrast, Administrators signed a leadership pledging their commitment to service of the church in the Conference.

The challenge to imitate Christ would be a lifelong journey, a commitment to embody the teachings of love, compassion, and humility. As they ventured into their respective roles and communities, they knew their success would be measured not by worldly standards but by the extent to which they allowed God's guidance to shape their actions and endeavors.

And so, the story of the South Caribbean Conference's 44th session became a chapter of inspiration and transformation, a reminder that authentic leadership is born when hearts are united in purpose and aligned with the divine.
